Green No More

Anonymity granted
In quest of truth
Rooted deep within fables

Divine Faun
Ruled this land
Bird and Horse
His trusted allies

Now wait and watch
Trembling thoughts
As globe shudders
At greed
Of intolerant evil

Green no more
Red streams flow
Where once roses bloomed
Now, thorns play with the doomed.

  3. What a very powerful last stanza here. "Green no more, red streams flow." You have really conveyed deeper meaning through your words, broadened the reader's view of the picture.

    1. Perhaps there's still time and we should start thinking about our surrounding rather than only about us !!!

  12. Love the beginning, with "deep rooted fables"

Would humbly offer two small corrections, last word in second stanza should be "allies" (plural of ally) as Bird and horse are more than one. Also spelling correction on name "Faun."

    Well penned piece!

  21. Nice one. Reflects what's really going on when Picasso painted this - the beginning of the Spanish Civil War!
