amidst gunshots and hatred
to grow flowers in thorn

Deception

we are often deceived
by scheming lies
and half eaten truths
blinded to the core
our senses succumb
to well eroded lore
the flowers bloom
in plastic petals
hounded by the demons
we live unsettled

know what is right
don't be lured by mere sight
even darkness seems to be light
if it shines as bright

Skyscrapers

I now fail to count
the nights no longer have stars
instead, skyscrapers

Nothing Ever Remains

nothing ever remains
even the sun would sleep one day
and yet we feel the need
to hold on to stuffs that come our way

begging for more
we forget to relish the walk today
tomorrow it would be late
and we would have nothing to say

Forest Fire

fire down the earth
and smoke in the skies
we don't know why we live
in silly burnt up lies
of progress, and development
and a bagful of money
unaware of the poison
in daily dose of honey

Wilting Smile

may her smile shine forever
he had said one day
may she shed those tears never
he had promised in a way

and now when he's gone
when the path seems too wrong
when every truth stares a lie
she still stands so strong

she shall paint her own freedom
the clouds will carry her miles
she shall hold back her heart
that hides away her wilting smile

I Hereby Declare You Man And Wife

small talks
and laughter
my eyes glued
thereafter
dressed in pink
and that perfect smile
you steal my heart
yet again in style

we take oaths
make promises
we hold hands
as the music plays
I look in your eyes
and find myself there
you blush and say
"stay here forever"

we are blessed
in union divine
this marriage binds us
in eternal rhyme
the crowd cheers
and we listen in pride
"I hereby declare you man and wife.
You may now kiss the bride."

Forever

counting our steps
one at a time
in orange glow
and breezing chime
let's walk across the bridge
our fingers seek each other
dear time, please do freeze
as we lose ourselves forever

You Are The Fairy For Whom I Wait

you are the steaming hot coffee at four
when it's still dark
and dawn
you are the first sunlit rays on shore
in dancing waves
and morn

you are the breeze humming from north
whispering in ears
sweet notes
you are the snow flake kissing the hearth
in hushed tales
we wrote

you are the promise that love does make
in secret hours
and blushes
you are the fairy for whom I wait
in shrouded nights
and wishes
