Flame

As the flames kissed the skies, he watched helplessly, holding on to the tears that laboriously searched for a vent in the midst of his wrinkles.

He had turned old; no, not of age, as age was just a number, but rather, as a result of constant torture and fear that his demonic neighbors had imposed on his kingdom.

However, this was not the moment for contemplation; actions were awaited, and all the animals looked up to him as their savior.

The Lion composed himself, 'cause he realized that at this dreadful hour the burning forest and its inhabitants needed him as the King, the ultimate Defender, and the carrier of their hopes.

With an authoritative growl that had always been his trademark, the majestic Lion resolved to take vengeance on the enemies - the cruel and heartless humans who set fire on his holy abode, yet again.
