Why this nose and not a beak?
Why why why, 'cause I hate to sneeze.
A dismal day it had to be
Water down my nose, my eyes, poor me.
Luscious dishes paint my plate
My taste buds betray, it's what I hate.
This bug of cold I always fear
My senses become numb, lost right here.
I waffle around, mindless vain
I have lost my mind, behaving insane.
Don't blame me for this piece
With folded nose I pray for peace.
And thus I ask, why this nose and not a beak?
Why why why, 'cause I absolutely hate to sneeze.
This Poem is shared with Three Word Wednesday.

DeleteI haven't been sick in some 15 years, but I can relate ... get well soon, Mr. G ... I deal with noses anytime, it's people's beaks that worry me ... rather take a sneeze that hurts the body than a hiss that hurts the soul ...
ReplyDeleteA hiss hurting the soul is worse ... I agree with you Cat :-)

Yeah ... cold is common and disturbing, always ;-)
DeleteBeak is more of the mouth than the nose right...who knows what kind of trouble birds have. XD
ReplyDeleteFunny for us to read but I suppose not for the one suffering from cold.
Ya birds may not sneeze but they might suffer from beak-problems ... anyways, we always complain about what we have ... human nature you see :-D
Deletebleh...not a fan of sneezing either...or a cold....it is human nature....complaining...
ReplyDeleteYeah :-)
DeleteNothing to be sneezed at? Not so, it seems.
