The Salacious Chain

The moment of joy,
The tears when you cry,
Those lips devotedly curled,
Silently waiting to be unfurled,
Rhyming with the word,
You said, and I heard.

CHORUS
Tonight I will sing the best love song,
Strumming on my guitar as you hum along,
Its night of the moon, when stars do rain,
This temptation binding me in your salacious chain.

Void and empty, my heart wandered around,
While crossing the heavens, it was you that I found,
A sight to behold, alienating and approaching,
The fragrance of your magic had me reaching,
Maimed by the arrow, myself I lost,
Glad though I was, for our paths did cross.

CHORUS
Tonight I will sing the best love song,
Strumming on my guitar as you hum along,
Its night of the moon, when stars do rain,
This temptation binding me in your salacious chain.

Salivating in your warmth, my ache grew numb,
The pressure of your touch, made me succumb,
Lips so full, brimming with joy,
It was fun to taste, you acting so coy,
I dwell in my dreams, with you by my side,
Your passion I worship, the shelter where I hide.

CHORUS
Tonight I will sing the best love song,
Strumming on my guitar as you hum along,
Its night of the moon, when stars do rain,
This temptation binding me in your salacious chain.

  3. Poetry has a lot to do with songs. This is a classic set of lyrics to latch on to a song. Pick a tune and hum it along with your poetry. Wonderful take,Green!

  5. I love the part about the lips being curled, truly a romantic poem along with a chorus to go with it. At first I thought it was a song from somewhere and now I know it is a song from you. A very tempting song for two lovers. Very nice.

Thanks for sharing this with all of us for this weeks Temptation Theme Thursday. You are truly a romantic person full of temptation.

    God bless.
