Helplessly witness,
Terrorism sans boundary,
Floating in the dark.
Retaliation,
Render belated justice,
Condemn the monsters.
This Haiku is shared with Haiku Heights and the Prompt is Render.
I like the strong message of awareness you have voiced here! Very nice :)
ReplyDeleteMystery monk renders golden thanks!
Thanks Pranita :-)
DeleteJustice is a weird thing. Sometimes it makes a monster of those who seek it. I like this because it makes me pause and think. So simple on the surface and yet... not at all.
ReplyDeleteJustice is indeed weird .... but then, that's what we all seek for :-)
DeleteI can feel the terror 'floating in the dark' Good one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Barbara :-)
DeleteStrong language rendered strong sentiments - great!
ReplyDeleteThank You Judith :-)
DeleteHmm. I do not agree, yet love love love the power of your expression! I like the restorative justice model of the new South Africa.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that model, but will do check it out. Thanks for bringing it to my notice :-)
DeleteExcellent haikus, terrorism is useless. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Leovi :-)
DeleteA very powerful haiku. Well said.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellecee :-)
DeleteI agree with She Writes. Retaliation is more apt to give birth to hatred than to justice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your views Patti, but retaliation will also send out a strong message to the world of terrorism. It's high time that these need to be checked !!!
DeleteI love reading all the clever uses of render-- you nailed it pretty good
ReplyDeleteThanks unfetteredbs :-)
DeletePowerful statement; very wel lwritten
ReplyDeletehad me thinking of Osama Bin....I cannot wrap my head around terrorism or raw justice, and I am glad I can't! Seriously, all war is terrorism - who should be punished?
ReplyDeleteThat's a serious question you have posed, one which can't be answered. Terrorism is a big dark mark on the human society, but isn't it the society that gave rise to terrorists in the first place?
DeleteVery strongly writtem haiku with a message of awareness ... this one is written almost on that disastrous date 9/11 ...
ReplyDeleteThe ill fated date of 9/11 does come to mind when we talk of terrorism. There have been widespread increase of terror attacks all round the globe, something that needs to be checked !!!
Deletereally powerful..hats off to you....
ReplyDeleteSuch a strong message...
ReplyDeleteHats off!!!

DeleteWhat a powerful take!
ReplyDeleteImpressed! :)
Thank You Simran :-)
DeleteAh. Too much injustice. I think even the judiciary would be rendered incapacitated at the rate it's peaking!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Leo. That's the harsh truth we all are facing !!!
Deletepowerful take on the prompt ...good one
ReplyDeletepowerful haiku !!
ReplyDeleteGood one amrit ...
Thanks Anu :-)
DeleteDramatic direction ~~
