there are stories
hidden in patterns
of simplicity
of times gone by
before genes knew the word
'mutation'
beauty is in discovery
of a world, so old
and yet refreshingly new
to the traveler within
look through the hourglass
of the past ebbing away
the land will have them preserved
so that, someday
we can find our way
