Paint Me With Colors That Know Not My Name

paint me with colors
that know not my name
sprinkle me with dust
of knowledge and fame

'cause I will live today
and tomorrow too
dark clouds flow away
smiling at the rainbow new

I grow young with simmering stars
and play with the shadowy moon
my dreams show me the path
destination by noon

paint me with colors
that resonate with verses
of poetic freedom
love and bliss
paint me today
as I close my eyes
and to the gift of life, I pray

  8. "and to the gift of life, I pray". Probably most characters in a painting are whispering that prayer. Mona Lisa for how many years?
Very inventive and heart tugging, G.S.
