this night of spring
whistles past my window
one last time
one last time
I dance to the rhythm
of musical spring
alas, one last time
I wish you would return
your smile blooms my life
This Haiku is shared with Carpe Diem - Kyoshi Takahama's 'the night of Spring'.
Spring comes and goes so fast. As do all of the seasons except winter it seems :-)
ReplyDeleteHa ha :-)
DeleteUnfortunately, everything is temporary and passing. Even spring.
ReplyDeleteYes :-)
DeleteSpring runs towards it's end and than Summer will be there, everything of Spring seen, smelled and so on for the last time, but next year it will return.

ReplyDeleteSure Sure Sure :-P
Delete... I admit, I will never understand haiku, but how people can comment on a particular set of haiku poems as "a lovely set of haiku" ... is beyond me ... so ... I love your WORDS or I don't ... and mostly I do ... so much, Mr.G ... so much ... does that qualify as a positive comment,I wonder? ... Meow ... Love, cat.
ReplyDeleteHaiku is just another expression, what matters is the word, and I am glad you love my words ... thanks a lot my dear friend :-)
DeleteOh how soon time flies, one moment we are longing for spring and within a few more days we are yearning for it to last one more day... Beautifully composed GS:)
ReplyDeleteSpring symbolizes new life. Hopefully your wishes will be fulfilled.
