a few coins
enough for survival
smile in his eyes
desolate figure
weary of hunger
counts the stars
a shooting star
time for the last wish
he finds none
fake promises
he swallows his tears
makes not a fuss
miserable world
bound by selfishness
he walks alone
scattered dreams
encased in frail bust
too scared to lose
sweet dew drops
hold on to rosy petals
he looks at the bee
brows straight
he searches for nectar
with the bee
time passes
his interest fades
thirst rises
prove to me
that you exist, he shouts
towards the heaven
rain God
lets go of the rein
clouds obey
faith restored
he walks back his path
new dawn, again

Beautiful, Amrit! WOW! One of the best I've read so far. Each and every haiku set talks of the truth that prevails in the society and the human needs. It talks about desire, want, faith and so much more.
ReplyDeleteWords skillfully used. Wow, again! :D
