Walls That Held True

walls that held true
for years
now crumbled
grumbled
bit by bit
on the couch
kitchen
floor

time
licked the wound
a passive nod
a worn out smile
on quaked shore

a sigh
and memories drizzled
embraced
where once they wove stories
now, trust laughed misplaced

this is so beautiful. The walls that were freshly painted are now crumbling and grumbling and so are the memories.

  10. Amrit this a nicely woven poem. The photo complements it very aptly. The following lines are very touching.
    time
    licked the wound
    a passive nod
    a worn out smile
    on quaked shore
