Accident

As the little heart pumped inside my soul, I knew things would be all right now, between me and him.

The doctor's voice reverberated against my eardrums, forcing me to smile each and every time I remembered his exact words, "Congratulations, you are expecting."

The doorbell rang and my anticipation touched the skies; he would surely propose marriage once I gave him the news, and then, we would start our own sweet little family, in my valley of dreams.

I hugged him excitedly and whispered "You are going to be Dad, Honey."

He shrugged, freed himself from my embrace, and chuckled, "Don't be crazy darling; this is just a damn accident."
