troubled by this winter
my clothes wouldn't dry
every other day of week
am I supposed to lie
"Sir, I am not well
oh grant me a leave
can I take the day off
please do believe."
the reason you know
my clothes wouldn't dry
what to wear for work
no clue, (sigh, sigh)
I pray every morn
for winter's goodbye
oh dear dear summer
can't you quickly come by

A very interesting response to the prompt. And I find it especially funny because I have just returned to Mumbai from a very cold Delhi, where my clothes just wouldn't dry :)
ReplyDeleteI experience the same daily :p
DeleteThat would be an ingenious excuse: "My clothes wouldn't dry!" Dear summer can't come soon enough for me either, but winter has only just begun.

DeleteHa ha! I love this. I can relate to it so well, especially because most of the time I am trying to figure out if they are cold or still wet. So I end up ironing the whole line just to make sure. :P
