she seeks not gifts
but freedom
to love
to live
to breathe
and believe
her heart, trapped in boundaries
unparalleled
away she goes
her feet sailing on the calm blue skies
that paint canvas
of colors
in pebbles blue and yellow
path, she knows not
destination, never a thought
aching with countless miles
she searches for her elusive smiles

ReplyDeleteIt always bothered me, when poets get prompted by some other "agency" to produce a poem, since I follow my own prompts, when writing ... but ... this poem is just superb, Mr.G ... in fact it brought me to tears ... so beautifully put ... omg ... I will copy and paste and enter it into my all time favourites file ... Love, cat.
