Water, water is all I need
Go, go, go away kid
Summer heat is on the brink
Kid, kid, go get me a drink
Cold, cold, 'cause my skin burns
Rain, rain, my heart silently yearns
Longer days, and smelly sweats
Perspiring me, should I now fret
Shower, shower, a bath refreshing
Gotta run home, the AC's waiting.

DeleteLike this very much,,,we have been in that situation lately with no A/C,, I can sympathize :-)
ReplyDeleteI understand Ellecee :-)
DeleteIt is interesting how you have used the same words twice in a row to emphasize on the scorching heat :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Reshma :-)

ReplyDeleteYes, we are :-)
DeleteWelcome dear, to sweltering Delhi ;)
ReplyDeleteGurgaon is a lot cooler :-)
DeleteThe heat that ignites us to zero tolerance and facilitate ourself with some comfort of cold air, water and rain ... nice read @!
ReplyDeleteI can barely leave my A/C and when I do it is to get into a car with A/C to drive to a building with A/C. Before I had started menopause I really did not mind the heat and kinda liked it. But now I hate the heat and love the cold. You have described the heat so well with your poem. I really enjoyed reading it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it with us for this weeks Theme Thursday. Hope your monsoons come and cool you down. Wish we could have some rain to cool us down. Have a great week and see you next Thursday.
God bless.
Thanks a lot Mrsupole :-)
