  1. Oh Amrit!! This reminds me of when my kids break or lose a crayon and then I have to replace it with a new one! What a wonderful set of haiku!

  3. White sun in a blue sky is a fabulous picture. The children are very inventive and make do with whatever they have and the results are amazing.

  5. What a bright haiku...i would keep the sun white..it is so clear..but then the joy of colouring a sun with a yellow crayon can't be beaten either!

  6. i think i like the second once the most...such a strong turn in it....the losing of the crayon...
and yet the sun still rises on a new day

  7. Your poem made me think of the sun of winter when it is so hard for it to glow and find its way among the overpowering gray clouds. Very evocative words!

  8. Beautiful. Nice that the sun rises again. Often, we must use our yellow crayon to color it in.
