Dusk ruling ahead,
Hope sinking desperately,
Black water rising.
Stand tall, head held high,
Decipher sculpted meaning,
Darkness leads to light.
Hardened rocks and coal,
Glowing pure, they brightly shine,
Polished diamonds.
This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights and the Prompt is Meaning.
