The waves dance together,
Bubbles flying like a flock of feathers,
Cooling the anguish, satiating the heart,
Listen to the music playing its part.
Gentle shore sings,
Soaking the joy that the crest brings,
Sandy crystals shining like gold,
This is the sound I would always want to hold.
Walk by the sea in the moonlit breeze,
Holding her hands with a gentle squeeze,
Close your eyes, open your ears,
The sound of the water you will hear.
Oh what merry rhyme it makes,
The white moon emanates shadowy flakes,
A soothing journey, a relaxing soul,
Inviting me to its heavenly whole.

You got me on the picture and then the subject. Being a Cancer (Star sign) my two most powerful influences are the moon and water. I love anything to do with both.
ReplyDeleteLoved how you used the water to describe the sounds. There's nothing quite as lovely as a walk by water. What a lovely read :)
Thanks a lot :-)
DeleteA very vivid imagery drawn, Amrit. In fact, I had thought about writing on the waves too but then I felt the laughter of children/babies is a tad better for me. Reading your poetry, I feel it's just almost the same. Beautiful, captivating and perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe picture speaks a lot too. :)
