Meaning - Haiku

Dusk ruling ahead,
Hope sinking desperately,
Black water rising.

Stand tall, head held high,
Decipher sculpted meaning,
Darkness leads to light.

Hardened rocks and coal,
Glowing pure, they brightly shine,
Polished diamonds.

This Haiku is written for Haiku Heights and the Prompt is Meaning.

I like the way how you start with the troubled feelings and then turn it into something positive with the magnificent example of diamond.

  7. Diamond in the rough gets polished depending on the individual. A polished person in everyone is the ultimate 'polished diamond' Great write Green, and welcome back!
