Somewhere Down The Isle

Somewhere down the isle
I will play you a song
champagne and guitar
nay, it would never be so wrong
'cause the world will sing
a hymn so deep
across the oceans
I will gift you the ring
plotted with my love
a kiss and a hug
the map will obey
to our dreams it will sway
somewhere down the isle.

  3. I like how you repeated the first line as the last; it enhances the poem and brings it full circle. Good meter and rhyme. Nicely done.

  5. I agree with Tess ... isle and aisle have different meanings, here they mesh beautifully.

  6. A lovely poem, Amrit. It could easily be the words to a song. I love isle, and aisle, too!
