Together
We scribble with chalks
The lines of fate
On the red sun
Hiding the nakedness
Behind clouds of cotton
As we seek refuge
In the calmness of the moon.
Together
We draw the curtain
The play commences
Basking in the applause
We plunge headlong
A moment of bliss
Purity, rejuvenated
We dance with the stars.
Together
And forever
We promise this union
In search of destiny
Sailing across seven seas
Rough tides we fight
Steering our safe paper boat
We wait for the magical night.
This Poem is shared with Theme Thursday and the Prompt is Together.

DeleteYour words so describe what is going on in the picture that I had to keep scrolling back up the to the picture and would see what you were describing. It was almost as if I was watching a movie with the words being the moving part and the picture the stills. And they also made me want what the couple has. I think you had my imagination going. Thanks for sharing such a soulfully togetherness poem with us for this weeks Theme Thursday.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend.
God bless.
Thank You so much ... Your comment made my day :-)
DeleteOh! How I do like your poem! It's very fanciful. I especially like the line about the paper boat...I was toying with a similar idea yesterday and so it struck me hard when I read it because it felt as if you had somehow read my mind. Keep writing!
ReplyDeletePerhaps we all writers have a common thread of thoughts that intersects somewhere, and perhaps that's how I read your mind ;-) Thanks for visiting Charleen :-)
DeleteLike this so much, especially the last two lines. Special it is :-)
