Hidden

What lies hidden
Does come out
The naked seeds cry
The apple revolts
It's killed
Cut into halves
The silence reverberates
Through the crust of my skin
My chest protects you
As these are your eyes I hide
Locked in the red casket
Which beats in rhythm
Every time you wink
The tears give me life
Flowing through the veins
Teaching me to breath
Where I adore your fragrance
I promise you would be hidden
Even though they may cut me into half
Tear me into pieces
But the lock wouldn't break
It would still sing the song
You whispered in my ears
The song of trust
The song of love
It would still dance to the melody
The melody of life
The melody of our lives.

  3. Yes, what is hidden eventually comes out...one way or another. I agree with Hank's comment..hidden but but seen and felt.

  5. Hidden in plain sight. Yes, whatever is hidden usually has a way of coming out eventually whatever it is but, especially, love :)
    really enjoyed this.

  6. Nicely written, G.S. Hidden in your heart? Mostly secrets are hidden in ones heart, I tried to see if your poet's lover was a secret from the world. Those winks would say yes, as most winks are a discret and cherished signal.

BTW, I will wink after my smile is returned. Am I flirting? I don't think flirting was involved here since tears came into play after the wink.

  11. What an extraordinarily emotive poem of love which in my mind I equated to that of a mother and her child, fiercely protective of one so precious.
