Smoke and Fire


I am not the smoke that you relish
Puffing in its glory
Seeking nirvana
Bliss

No, I am not your toy
And I never would be

Instead
I am the fire
That burns deep within
Fueled with Vengeance galore

Beware
I will ignite the dirt
And turn you into ashes

A New Year. A New Resolution
Eradicate all evils
And Make
This
World
A Better
Place to Live
For Me. For You
And For the Future that hides behind the mirror.

    I love your style....something it says in words n the rest left for the reader to find ...
    Yes...i too hope that this coming year turns out to be better in all sense...otherwise hopes will be lost n living among animals might seem a better option than living among these evil n sick minded ...

    I am not the smoke you relish.,.. that is an intriguing line. Smoking (in movies) can appear sexy and then there is always the campfire smoke which I LOVE.... but smoke can be dangerous, too. NIcely done.

    That's a resolution that more than half of the human population needs to make now. Your poem should be taken as an oath for a better living. :)
