Angels Of Nectar

Angels of nectar,
Come home to sunlit flowers,
Kissing shy petals.

This Haiku is shared with Carpe Diem. The Special Prompt is the below Haiku written by Matsuo Basho (1644 - 1694), a Haiku Master. My Haiku is created inspired by Basho's work.

a butterfly flies
only in the field
of sunshine

  1. I was surprised that you hadn't heard about Basho. He is really one of the best haiku masters i know. He has written Almost 1000 haiku during his lifetime. He's my rolemodel and 'master' for writing haiku.
The haiku you've composed with the one by Basho as an inspiration is wonderful. You've touched the Spirit of Basho with your haiku. Well done. If you would like to read more haiku by Basho visit my Basho Revisited weblog on: http://bashorevisited.blogspot.com There I revisit haiku by Basho and try to write a new haiku inspired on the haiku by Basho. That weblog is the source for the Carpe Diem Specials.

    1. Actually I started writing Haiku inspired by fellow bloggers 3-4 months ago, and as such wasn't much familiar with the origin of this wonderful form. I do know quite a bit now, thanks to all your help :-)

  3. Butterflies are perhaps the luckiest creatures.. as light as air, as beautiful as Venus, free of worries!
