Heat

Water, water is all I need
Go, go, go away kid
Summer heat is on the brink
Kid, kid, go get me a drink
Cold, cold, 'cause my skin burns
Rain, rain, my heart silently yearns
Longer days, and smelly sweats
Perspiring me, should I now fret
Shower, shower, a bath refreshing
Gotta run home, the AC's waiting.

This Poem is shared with Theme Thursday - Heat.

  5. So true! Although here we have no AC--so we pray that it doesn't go above 90

  8. Heat of summer is unsettling.
Lots of routines that need adjusting.

  14. I can barely leave my A/C and when I do it is to get into a car with A/C to drive to a building with A/C. Before I had started menopause I really did not mind the heat and kinda liked it. But now I hate the heat and love the cold. You have described the heat so well with your poem. I really enjoyed reading it.

Thanks for sharing it with us for this weeks Theme Thursday. Hope your monsoons come and cool you down. Wish we could have some rain to cool us down. Have a great week and see you next Thursday.

    God bless.
