Deception

we are often deceived
by scheming lies
and half eaten truths
blinded to the core
our senses succumb
to well eroded lore
the flowers bloom
in plastic petals
hounded by the demons
we live unsettled

know what is right
don't be lured by mere sight
even darkness seems to be light
if it shines as bright

  1. Superb ending and indeed if we try to look beyond what is being projected then we might find the truth and light too.

  5. How well you have described deception! The lies that are close to truth are the most deceptive.

  8. But isn't perception also blinding? We may try to claw our way to the truth but our subconscious is a hindrance. Mostly.
