There are cures for all sorts of wounds. Bruises do heal. There are bright sunny days after stormy nights. Sometimes, the nights may seem long, but they are not neverending. So if you are in a fix, if you find yourself strangled, and if you are yearning for hope, just hold on. A new dawn awaits. Let it welcome you.
Give your life a chance to live.

Lovely way of penning,Amruth. I liked it.
ReplyDelete....the idea of candle wax melting onto the palm....this is just an amazing image to turn over in my mind. Fascinating....as well as these words, "I've been breaking gradually." These are words that get inside your reader's head...at least they did mine. I find myself thinking about them....turning them over and over and connecting with them in different ways. You've caused me to move from your words on my screen, into my mind, and to wrestle with the words and their meaning to me. And that, is the mark of a good writer! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI liked the concern about the night being too long.
ReplyDeleteLove the hope that rises at the end of your words here Amruth! Beautiful and inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you used the candle wax here...
ReplyDeleteI can feel the pain in this but also the relief, the hope and reality of new tomorrows. A beautiful write in both segments. Thank you for joining in with the Poetics prompt. :)
ReplyDeleteYour poems are indeed very catching. A candle will definitely help and at the same time it will burn our hands, if held without support.
