your name echoes
in listless waves
in silent hours
and myriad hushes
what if, we could retrace
the shadows of the past
only if we had known back then
that tides never do last
you sailed away in bluish hue
a prince long lost in fables
like a child who's stung by sand
I wrote my tale in pebbles
the love hasn't diminished a bit
and yet I know it's in vain
that longing for you, I breathe and live
as I hear you laugh, calling me insane
