On A Night Like This

Purple night
With the stars we play
Melting on the grass
And then u say
"I love you not,
It's just a silly lie,
Like snow in desert,
And wings that can't fly."
You mock at my fear,
The one that came true,
But I won't shed a tear,
'Cause this isn't anything new.

My heart now wrinkled,
In pages from the past,
That song I still sing,
The one you taught me last.
I searched for you,
In memories gray and black,
And then I knew,
You would never come back.

A parched smile,
A tired sigh,
On a night like this,
I am too weak to cry.
